Bringing together nearly fifteen cities and boroughs, including Baie-d’Urfé, Beaconsfield, Dorval and Pointe-Claire, the West Island is a true oasis for those in search of tranquility in a rural landscape. Offering quick access to Lac des Deux Montagnes, Lac St-Louis and the St. Lawrence River, the area quickly became popular for its many waterfront residences.

The West Island enjoys a cosmopolitan face, with its modern buildings, as well as its many townhouses. Set back from the city center and the main boulevards, the area offers large spaces, nature parks and cycle paths so that its residents can take advantage of its expanse.

Although there is no administrative structure in place, given the different cities that are part of it, the West Island is distinguished by the characteristics of its residents, including the high average income per household.
